What is Reactive Attachment Disorder?<\/h2>\n

Reactive Attachment Disorder is basically a disruption in attachment. \u00a0This could be from any kind of early trauma like adoption, foster care, early childhood hospitalization or neglect. \u00a0It may present as ADHD, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, even Autism Spectrum Disorder, etc.<\/p>\n

I tried it all. \u00a0At some point I thought I was the problem because nothing was working. \u00a0My advice is based mostly on lived experience but also backed by behavioral science. \u00a0I am not a licensed professional; I’m “just a parent” like you. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Can you help me virtually?<\/h3>\n

Most clients are virtual. \u00a0The beauty of the age we live in is that state boundaries play no part whatsoever. \u00a0Our kids have similar behaviors everywhere. \u00a0<\/p>\n

My child goes to therapy already. \u00a0Why should I talk to you?<\/h4>\n

If your kid is making progress with a therapist, that is wonderful! \u00a0My guess is that you found this page because you just might need more. \u00a0I can not and should not replace a therapist for your child or for you. \u00a0What I can do is give you tools to reduce outbursts and tantrums (either yours or your kid’s). \u00a0And that can pave the way to true healing in your home. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
